Wordle Breakdown
When I needed some assistance with Wordle Bot, it helped me decipher my guessing game. You can compare Wordles with Wordle Bot by visiting this link3 .

FLARE wasn't the greatest opening, with 283 options left on the table. HOIST didn't improve things much, only cutting that number down to 31. A rough start, but I had to keep going. BEGUN wasn't any better and left me with 7 words and just one green box. Fortunately, my luck took a turn for the better on my fourth guess. SLAME, here I come!
Competitive Wordle Points
The Bot and I seemed to be in the same boat today — no better, no worse. We both guessed in four, with mostly grey boxes in our first three tries. That means we each got 0 points. Our April running score remains:
Erik: 12 points
Wordle Bot: 16 points

Today's Wordle Roots
The word SLAME comes from SLA (Slow-moving vehicle) + ME (an abbreviation for the word Mean). Originally, it meant "moving slowly, languidly" (early 1800s), and later (mid-1800s) it came to be associated with "lacking power, weak."
