Wireless Logic, a leading provider of IoT solutions, has announced the acquisition of Zipit Wireless, a US-based company specialising in multi-carrier IoT connectivity and subscription billing solutions. This deal marks Wireless Logic's first acquisition of a US-headquartered company and is a significant step in its strategy to deepen local expertise in critical markets while expanding globally.

The acquisition significantly boosts Wireless Logic’s North American capabilities. Zipit Wireless, headquartered in South Carolina and with operations across the US and Canada, including its Canadian subsidiary Mtrex Networks, serves the point-of-sale market.

Oliver Tucker, the co-founder and CEO at Wireless Logic, is delighted to have Zipit’s team onboard. He stated, “The acquisition adds valuable technology, including Zipit’s flexible, white-labeled subscription billing platform, to our offering. It strengthens our carrier relationships with top-tier North American networks such as Verizon, AT&T, and Rogers, enabling broad global connectivity across NB-IoT, LTE-M, and 5G technologies.”

Zipit's billing capabilities have supported over $45 million in subscription revenue for its OEM clients. The company's expertise in managing complex billing chains and layered commercial relationships adds a valuable dimension to Wireless Logic's offering. Zipit's platform reduces commercial complexity through automated billing and flexible subscription models, giving Wireless Logic's customers greater control over service packaging and revenue models.

Frank Greer, the CEO at Zipit Wireless, stated that becoming part of the Wireless Logic Group is a major milestone and the natural next step in their growth. He added, “We are excited about the opportunities this acquisition presents for both our companies. With Wireless Logic's global reach and Zipit's deep understanding of the North American market, we believe we can accelerate innovation and commercial adoption of IoT solutions in the region.”

The series of acquisitions by Wireless Logic reinforces its commitment to growth and innovation. The company has previously acquired Arqia, Webbing, and Blue Wireless. Zipit Wireless is recognised for its flexible, white-labelled billing platform, strong customer support, and regional insight.

In summary, the acquisition boosts Wireless Logic’s North American capabilities substantially by integrating Zipit’s billing sophistication, carrier access, and market-specific knowledge. This move enhances Wireless Logic’s competitive positioning as a platform-as-a-service pioneer in cellular IoT, particularly suited for IoT use cases in sectors like agriculture, security, surveillance, and digital signage in North America.

The acquisition allows Wireless Logic to strengthen its business in the technology sector, particularly in North America, due to Zipit Wireless's specialization and operations in the region. The deal enhances Wireless Logic's financial capabilities through the integration of Zipit's flexible, white-labeled subscription billing platform, supporting over $45 million in subscription revenue for its OEM clients.
