Warnings issued at Astana airport concerning potential limitations in electronic government services

JSC "National Information Technologies" (NITEC) carried out planned technical maintenance on July 19, 2025, between 02:00 and 08:00. The purpose of this maintenance was to ensure the stable operation of digital services supported by the company.

During this period, several key services were affected. These included the eGov.kz portal and eGov Mobile application, including the Digital Documents service, e-Otinish and e-License portals, services of the National Certification Authority of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NCA RK), and other projects supported by NITEC. Additionally, public services integrated via the e-Government Gateway, such as second-tier banking applications and other integrated systems, were also affected.

In light of this maintenance, NITEC recommended users to complete all necessary operations before the maintenance window and to prepare original documents in case they are needed during the downtime since digital services would be unavailable. No mention of alternative electronic platforms or backup digital services was given, implying users must rely on pre-completion of tasks or offline/document-based options until systems are restored.

The maintenance was planned to minimise inconvenience by performing essential technical upgrades during low-usage hours. Temporary access restrictions may have occurred during this period. It is advised to have originals of identity documents, passports, birth certificates, and other documents with you, especially when passing through Astana Airport.

JSC "NIT" and Astana Airport both advised users to complete all necessary operations in advance. The technical works took place between 02:00 and 08:00. The report on these technical works was made by Vechernyaya Astana.
