Warner Bros. Discovery Hikes HBO Max Prices in Europe
Warner Bros. Discovery is raising subscription prices for HBO Max and Max in several European markets. The Netherlands and Spain have already seen increases, with more changes expected in 2026.
In the Netherlands, the standard plan has risen from €10 to €12 per month, while the premium tier has jumped from €14 to €17. These changes come into effect from 6 November 2025. Spain has also witnessed a price hike, with the standard ad-free plan increasing from €9.99 to €10.99 and annual subscriptions rising from €99 to €109. Spanish subscribers will see these changes from 23 October 2023, marking around a 10% increase.
Warner Bros. Discovery executives have hinted at further price adjustments in 2026. Meanwhile, in Poland, new reference prices were introduced on 4 February 2025, though specific details are yet to be disclosed. In Spain, the ad-supported tier will cost €6.99 and the premium 4K tier €15.99.
Warner Bros. Discovery's price adjustments reflect a broader strategy to increase revenue from its streaming services. As the company continues to expand, with the upcoming launch of HBO Max (soon to be renamed 'Max') in Ukraine, subscribers can expect more changes in the coming months.
