In August 2025, Volkswagen Australia officially released the pricing for their electric SUV lineup, featuring the ID.4 and ID.5 models. The entry-level Pro variants of both SUVs are now available, with the ID.4 Pro priced at $59,990 and the ID.5 Pro at $62,990, excluding on-road costs.

For those seeking a sportier experience, the GTX variants of both models are also available. The ID.4 GTX starts at $69,990, while the ID.5 GTX is priced higher at $72,990, before on-road costs.

The ID.4 Pro and ID.5 Pro variants share many similarities, including air care 3 zone automatic climate control air conditioning, ergoActive comfort front seats with power adjustment and heated features, and a multi-function steering wheel with touch control. The ID.4 Pro variant features alloy wheels "Hamar" 19×8", while the ID.5 Pro comes with a Premium Metallic paint option for an additional $1,300.

The GTX variants of both models include updated front and rear bumpers, body-colored sides, 20-inch wheels, and front foglights. They also feature sports seats with red stitching and integrated head restraints, and a Harmon Kardon premium audio system.

Both new variants of the ID.4 and ID.5 will be delivered as MY25.5 versions. The ID.4 Pro has sold 333 units in 2025, ranking it number 34 on the list of best-selling EVs in Australia. The ID.5 Pro has sold 126 units, placing it at 53rd on the rankings.

The ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX variants come with a battery capacity net/useable of 77kWh and 79kWh, respectively. The ID.4 GTX variant has a driving range (WLTP) of 511km, while the ID.5 GTX variant has a driving range (WLTP) of 522km.

The ID.4 Pro and ID.5 Pro variants come equipped with IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED headlamps, 3D LED rear lights, keyless access, power tailgate, panoramic roof, ArtVelours microfleece upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, tri-zone climate control air conditioning, 12.9-inch infotainment, and Area View 360-degree camera.
