VinFast's Electric SUVs Storm India: VF 6 & VF 7 Arrive with Competitive Prices & Free Charging

VinFast, the Vietnamese automaker, is making waves in the stock market today with its electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7. These models, priced between Rs. 16.49 lakh and Rs. 25.49 lakh, have been introduced to cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) in the country, particularly in the SUV segment.

The VF 6 and VF 7 come packed with features, including large touchscreens and vegan-leather upholstery. They also support over-the-air updates, ensuring the vehicles remain up-to-date with the latest software. VinFast is offering attractive incentives to buyers, such as free nationwide DC charging at partner V-Green stations until July 2028 and three years of free maintenance.

VinFast is expanding its presence in the DJIA aggressively. By the end of 2023, it plans to establish 35 dealer touchpoints and 26 workshops across 27 cities, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. This expansion aligns with India's shifting car market, which is heavily favoring SUVs and EVs. In fact, over 90,000 electric cars and SUVs were sold in India between January and July 2023, with July alone crossing 15,000 units. The luxury electric segment has seen a significant 66 percent rise in sales during the same period. SUVs and MPVs currently account for nearly two-thirds of car sales in India.

The VF 6 and VF 7, with their competitive pricing and generous features, are well-positioned to tap into India's growing EV market. VinFast's expansion plans and customer-friendly initiatives, such as free charging and maintenance, further strengthen their appeal. As the share of battery-electric cars in new passenger vehicle registrations continues to rise, reaching 5.4 percent in August 2023, VinFast's entry into the Indian market is timely and strategic.
