VIAVI Introduces Next-Generation Handheld Testers for Enhanced News Delivery
VIAVI Solutions, a leading provider of network test, monitoring, and assurance solutions, is set to unveil two new all-in-one handheld testers at the SCTE Tech Expo in Washington D.C., from September 29 to October 1. These innovative tools, the OneExpert Fiber (ONX-700) and the OneExpert HFC (ONX-720/ONX-730), are designed to simplify and streamline FTTx and DOCSIS news activation and maintenance.
The OneExpert HFC provides additional support for DOCSIS news delivery, making it an ideal choice for cable operators looking to upgrade their existing OneExpert CATV to support PON / FTTx. The OneExpert Fiber, on the other hand, validates Ethernet, Fiber, and WiFi 7 connections.
Both testers offer single-button testing capabilities, allowing technicians to validate DOCSIS news delivery over Coax or Ethernet, verify wired news delivery from the Gateway or ONT, and provide pre-delivery speed validation of the PON or P2P Fiber network. They also offer pre-configured and customized test profiles for the end-to-end connectivity and performance testing of PON networks.
The modular design of these tools ensures future-proof capabilities and reduces cost of ownership, as technicians can keep up with evolving technologies such as 25G and 50G news testing. They are IP54-rated and weatherproof, ensuring reliability in various field conditions.
The new testers incorporate automatic pass/fail notification functionality and are drop-tested to 1 meter, ensuring they can withstand the rigors of field use. Compatibility with VIAVI TPATest Process Automation ensures technician process compliance by guiding workflows and standardizing news procedures.
