The Seventh Annual Future of Video Conference: Shaping the Future of Streaming

The Future of Video conference, an annual industry event, is set to return this year, focusing on strategies for delivering high-quality video services and attracting new subscribers. Hosted by Parks Associates, the conference will take place from November 19-21 at the Marina del Rey Marriott in Marina del Rey, Calif.

Mindi Sue Sternblitz-Rubenstein, Vice President of Marketing at Parks Associates, has stated that customers are seeking a fast, easy-to-navigate interface that offers an expansive experience across multiple devices and apps, particularly YouTube TV and other AVOD services.

According to new research from Parks Associates, easy navigation between connected TVs (CTVs) and other devices is of paramount importance. The research highlights Roku's success in this area, with the company doing a particularly good job at cross-platform CTV efforts to attract YouTube and ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) users. Roku device owners/users have high usage rates for YouTube and The Roku Channel.

Companies looking to capture these households could succeed by emphasizing the ease of navigation across their portfolio and their list of supported streaming apps. Roku's success can be attributed to its neutral platform, which does not favor specific streaming services, and features like a remote with a headphone jack and a mobile app that turns smartphones into full remotes. Other devices, such as Apple TV 4K, NVIDIA Shield TV Pro, and Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max, have also achieved notable success in seamless ecosystem integration and smart home device control.

The Future of Video conference will also discuss the latest innovations to meet customer demands, as well as design and messaging strategies for streaming households. With one-third of households planning to buy a smart TV in the next six months, it is crucial for streaming providers to stay ahead of the curve and offer the best possible experience for their customers.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Future of Video conference and the latest trends in video streaming.
