Urwerk Launches Innovative UR-150 Scorpion Timepiece
Swiss watchmaker Urwerk has launched the UR-150 Scorpion, an innovative timepiece that combines the brand's signature wandering hour complication with a new, robust design. Available in two variants, the Titan and Dark, each limited to 50 pieces, the UR-150 Scorpion is priced at CHF 88,000 and CHF 89,000 respectively.
The UR-150 Scorpion boasts improved ergonomics with a diameter of 42.49mm and a thickness of 14.79mm, making it more comfortable to wear than its predecessor, the UR-100 series. The watch displays time using an outer minutes track and a large skeleton hand, with hour discs rotating every 60 minutes. It features a rounder profile with a domed sapphire crystal and a circular case and dial, a departure from Urwerk's typically outlandish designs.
The UR-150 Scorpion is powered by a redesigned movement based on the Vaucher calibre, featuring a new satellite complication and a 43-hour power reserve. Each variant, Titan with green accents and Dark with red accents, comes with a titanium and stainless steel case, with the Dark variant having PVD-treated steel and a matching dial.
The UR-150 Scorpion is a testament to Urwerk's commitment to innovative watchmaking, offering a unique time display in a robust, sophisticated case. With a price tag of CHF 88,000 and CHF 89,000 respectively, and a limited production run of 50 pieces each, the UR-150 Scorpion is a highly sought-after addition to any watch collection.
