UK-based start-up Compass Insights introduces Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) platform
Compass Insights Secures Backing and Introduces AI-Powered Capabilities
The next-generation responsible investment operating system, Compass Insights, has received backing from Engine, Sustainable Ventures, Imperial Enterprise Lab, and the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub. This funding will support the development and expansion of Compass Insights' innovative platform.
In addition to the financial backing, Compass Insights has announced plans to introduce AI-powered capabilities to further automate ESG analysis and decision-making. This advancement is expected to enhance the platform's efficiency and accuracy in managing ESG data.
Originally launched by Gustave Loriot-Boserup, a former responsible investment manager at London CIV, Compass Insights is designed to centralise ESG data management and analysis. The platform aims to help asset owners track how closely their stewardship practices align with those of their managers, and automate key processes to improve the efficiency of responsible investment teams.
The platform has been recognized as one of the most innovative ESG tech firms by Fintech Global. It offers scalable tools for fund monitoring, stewardship, and reporting, and is currently running a pilot with one of the UK's largest Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds.
Compass Insights addresses data management bottlenecks and limited transparency in stewardship outcomes by integrating ESG data from diverse sources into a single unified system, offering advanced analytics and reporting tools, providing real-time insights and tailored dashboards, and enhancing transparency and accountability in responsible investment practices.
The platform aims to monitor breaches, standardise reporting procedures, and eliminate silos between different data sources. It could help asset owners make informed, responsible investment decisions efficiently, overcoming common challenges in ESG data management such as data fragmentation, inconsistent metrics, and the labor-intensive process of data gathering and analysis.
As Compass Insights continues to grow and develop, it promises to revolutionise the way asset owners approach ESG data management and responsible investment, making it a more streamlined, efficient, and effective process.
