The GSA has partnered with Adobe to cut software costs for government agencies by 70%, a step towards eliminating manual processes, shrinking paper-related expenses, and upgrading service delivery. This collaboration is part of GSA's OneGov cost-saving strategy, separate from the Department of Government Efficiency.

Meanwhile, stay updated with the GSA as they enter the second phase of reviewing government contracts, targeting billions of dollars in redundant spending on items ranging from toilet paper to software. In the initial round, top consulting firms offered $33 billion in potential savings, with $8.9 billion to be achieved immediately through contract terminations and restructuring, as well as transitioning to outcome-based deals with leading firms such as Deloitte, Booz Allen Hamilton, Accenture Federal Services, IBM, and others.

In keeping with the ongoing overhaul, the GSA aims to revamp federal procurement by making outcome-based contracts the norm for future transactions. These contracts prioritize results over real-time payment, encouraging suppliers to focus on delivering the best possible outcomes for the government. GSA also plans to cap indirect spending from firms, offer industry-wide flat rates for services, and interface directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to source goods and services directly.
