As a Calculation Engineer, your primary role will be to perform complex technical calculations and analyses to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of electrical power systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and calculating electrical network components and systems. - Conducting load flow, short-circuit, stability, and protection coordination studies. - Supporting the planning, expansion, and optimization of the electrical grid. - Collaborating with project teams and providing technical expertise during project development phases. - Preparing detailed documentation and technical reports. - Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and company guidelines. - Utilizing specialized software tools for network calculations and simulations. - Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for network issues.
To qualify for this position, you should have:
- A degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, power engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience in electrical network calculations and planning, preferably in the energy supply or utility sector. - Proficiency with calculation and simulation software (e.g., PowerFactory, PSS/E, or comparable tools). - Solid knowledge of electrical engineering principles, network theory, protection technology, and grid operations. - Good command of German, as the work environment and local regulations require. - Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. - Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving technologies and standards in the energy sector.
