Hot off the Shelves: Thermomix TM7 Sells a Quarter Million Units in a Flash!
Nearly 300 Thousand New Thermomix Equipment Sold Out - Thermomix sales top 300,000 units.
Hey there! If you're in the market for a top-notch kitchen appliance, listen up! Thermomix TM7, the latest sensation from Vorwerk, is flying off the shelves. With over 300,000 devices already snapped up, CEO Thomas Stoffmehl is grinning from ear to ear. Now, that's what I call a successful sales launch!
This isn't just any kitchen gadget; it's the seventh generation of Vorwerk's renowned Thermomix, introduced back in February. And the goal? Cranking out sales worth two billion euros this year—an impressive 18% increase from 2024 and the highest ever for Thermomix!
So, what's all the fuss about? Well, the new TM7 has some snazzy new features. It's the first time you can cook food sans a lid, which is pretty cool, right? And the price? A mere 1,549 euros—that's only 50 euros more than its previous version. The TM7 is manufactured in Wuppertal and two factories in France, with the new French facility expecting to ramp up production big time.
But here's the catch: With soaring demand, you might have to exercise a bit of patience. In Germany, it's currently taking around 18 weeks to get your hands on one.
Now, you might be wondering, where can I get my hands on this marvelous machine? Well, it's not available in stores. Instead, Thermomix is exclusively sold through direct sales. Independent consultants showcase the Thermomix at events and 'Thermomix parties'—quite a unique approach to marketing, don't you think? Other kitchen giants like Bosch, Xiaomi, Moulinex, and Kenwood have similar offerings.
Vorwerk values Thermomix as its crown jewel. In 2024, the Wuppertal-based family company sold 1.2 million units worldwide. Thermomix accounted for over half of the company's revenue, with operations in 58 countries.
Vorwerk raked in around 3.2 billion euros in sales last year, roughly the same as in 2023. But the profit took a slight dip, from 133 million euros in 2023 to 99 million euros in 2024. Vorwerk attributes this in part to the high expenses for the development of the TM7.
But there's a silver lining: Vorwerk's second-biggest product, the Kobold vacuum cleaner model, has been underperforming. Sales dropped by around 10% in 2024. However, Vorwerk has seen a significant boost with Cookidoo. The recipe platform has around 6 million subscribers, 900,000 more than a year ago.
So, if you're ready to join the Thermomix craze, be prepared to wait a bit. But trust us, it's worth the wait!
