The Russian military radio station UVB-76, also known as "The Buzzer," continued its enigmatic broadcasts on August 11, 2025, with six encrypted messages that echoed transmissions from early January 2022. These messages, containing words such as "Schesolub," "Druzhnost," "Kerner," "Ryushnyi," "Lukospas," and "Dzhinochili," are part of a long-standing shortwave radio station whose purpose remains officially unconfirmed but is widely believed to be related to Russian military communication or signal intelligence operations.

Intriguingly, the digit groups following the words were identical in each broadcast, while the digit groups preceding the words varied. This pattern suggests a structured yet cryptic communication system, with the numbers possibly serving as identifiers or codes for specific recipients or messages.

The broadcasted messages on August 11, 2025, are consistent with the longstanding pattern of code transmissions intended for military or intelligence purposes, maintaining operational security while allowing for discrete contact between units or branches. The words listed above are likely call signs, codewords, or identifiers within this secretive communication system, whose precise meaning is classified and not publicly disclosed.

It is worth noting that in early January 2022, UVB-76 broadcasts included various signals with encoded images visible through a spectrogram and atypical transmissions such as songs or pirate hijacking attempts, possibly linked with geopolitical events like the Russo-Ukrainian crisis. However, the core function of UVB-76 remains military communication under strict control, with rare unauthorized broadcasts occasionally reported.

The similarity between the August 2025 and January 2022 transmissions raises questions about their significance, particularly given that they occurred prior to the start of the SVO (presumably the Special Military Operation in Ukraine). The exact purpose of these transmissions remains unknown, but they continue to serve as a covert channel for Russian military communications, with the words representing coded elements for recipient interpretation, reflecting the station’s ongoing role in secure, plausible deniable transmissions.
