Frankfurt Airport's highly anticipated Terminal 3 is edging closer to its opening after the Easter holidays in 2026, with the trial operation set to begin on January 27, 2026. Fraport AG, the company responsible for the airport's operations, is ensuring a balanced selection of participants to reflect the real passenger structure at the airport.

Fraport is collaborating with uCastMe GmbH (ucm agency) for the organizational implementation of the trial operation. The trial will take place every Tuesday and Thursday during the specified period, with each test day hosting between 200 and 1,000 extras. In total, around 8,000 voluntary test passengers will be involved in the trial.
