Tagaddod Secures $26.3M for Biofuel Expansion
Egyptian renewable energy startup Tagaddod has secured $26.3 million in Series A funding, led by The Arab Energy Fund (TAEF) with participation from FMO, Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures (VKAV), and A15 Ventures. This investment will support the company's global expansion and growth in the biofuels sector.
Tagaddod operates a digital platform that collects, aggregates, and traces renewable waste-based feedstocks from thousands of suppliers. The company aims to address the challenge of feedstock availability in the clean energy transition, ensuring a steady and sustainable global supply through digital traceability and compliance infrastructure. With global demand for biofuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) growing, Tagaddod seeks to strengthen the global biofuel supply chain with this investment.
The funding will accelerate Tagaddod's expansion across Africa, Asia, and Europe. The company currently has regional hubs in Egypt, Jordan, and the Netherlands, with new global entries planned in Saudi Arabia and beyond. The new funds will also support the enhancement of Tagaddod's AI-powered logistics and predictive analytics systems, and increase operational capacity.
Tagaddod's Series A funding round, totaling $26.3 million, will enable the company to expand its global footprint, improve its technological capabilities, and strengthen the global biofuel supply chain. With this investment, Tagaddod is well-positioned to become a long-term leader in the global biofuels and clean energy ecosystem.
