Spotted Leaked Price Ranges for ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Ally X in EU point towards a comparable price range with existing models, at 599 and 899 euros respectively.

The much-anticipated collaboration between Asus and Microsoft, the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, are set to launch with an official price tag approaching the fall of 2025. Here's a closer look at what we know so far about these Xbox-branded devices.

Both models, the ROG Xbox Ally and the more powerful Ally X, weigh 670g and 715g respectively and feature a redesigned chassis with contoured grips similar to the Xbox controller and impulse triggers for added haptic feedback. They come equipped with a 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort 2.1 / Power Delivery 3.0, Thunderbolt 4 compatible, a UHS-II microSD card reader, and Wi-Fi 6E (2 x 2) and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity.

The standard ROG Xbox Ally is powered by a Ryzen Z2 A chip, 16GB LPDDR5X-6400 RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 60Wh battery. On the other hand, the ROG Xbox Ally X boasts AMD's new Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor with 8 cores, 16 RDNA 3.5 graphics cores, 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory, and an 80Wh battery.

In terms of pricing, the leaked European prices suggest €599 for the ROG Xbox Ally and €899 for the ROG Xbox Ally X. However, the US prices are expected to be markedly different due to factors like local taxes, import duties, tariffs, currency exchange rates, and market strategy. Reports suggest the US price for the ROG Xbox Ally might be around $499 or somewhat below, while the ROG Xbox Ally X is expected to have a US price around $799 MSRP, with some retailers listing it at $899 possibly due to stock shortages or demand variations.

Microsoft is also testing a new version of the Xbox app for Windows with support for aggregated game libraries. This update will be rolled out to both ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X later this year, allowing users to view installed titles from supported third-party storefronts such as Battle.net, EA, and Riot Games, with support for more stores like Steam and GOG likely to arrive at a later stage.

Official pricing announcements are expected closer to the fall 2025 launch window, likely around or before Gamescom in late August or early September 2025. Keep an eye out for further updates as we approach the launch of these exciting new devices!
