Spotlight Shines on Shiba Inu as Shibarium Aims for Significant Enhancement
In a significant push towards strengthening the developer infrastructure and boosting on-chain activity, the Shiba Inu team has consolidated and upgraded its official Shibarium documentation portal. This portal, now hosted at docs.shib.io, provides a centralized, user-friendly hub for all technical resources.
The new developer hub includes comprehensive, step-by-step guides on running validator nodes, bridging assets across different blockchains for interoperability, and integrating with decentralized exchanges ShibaSwap V1 and V2. It also offers tools such as SDKs for DeFi development, support for Ethereum-compatible frameworks like Hardhat and ElderJS, and network settings details including chain ID and RPC URLs.
The upgrade also introduced Staking 2.0 (Bury 2.0), a new staking mechanism that rewards long-term token holders and fosters community engagement. This upgrade aims to catalyse higher developer participation, increase DeFi activity, and solidify the roles of ecosystem tokens like SHIB, BONE, TREAT, and LEASH.
As a result, on-chain transaction activity has surged dramatically, with reports of a 2,742% increase in on-chain activity, including a rise in SHIB token burns. Shibarium now processes over three million transactions daily, having reached over 1.4 billion cumulative transactions, indicating robust network growth and increasing user engagement.
The current price of Shiba Inu stands at $0.00001341, and while the price outlook on the broader crypto market is down by 3.51%, the ecosystem's evolution marks a strategic shift for Shiba Inu, positioning it for sustained growth as a fully-fledged blockchain ecosystem with growing technical sophistication and active community involvement.
Previously, SHIB's technical information was scattered across various platforms. The switch to the new, centralized portal using the Mintlify platform aims to make the ecosystem more user-friendly for developers. The Shiba Inu development team is actively repositioning the ecosystem, with the new portal being a key step towards this goal.
