The 2025 AgriTech Challenge Pro has made a significant impact on Ghana's agricultural sector and youth employment by incubating innovative youth-led agribusiness startups. Supporting Innovative Startups
The Challenge onboarded 22 winning startups into the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) Incubation Program, bringing KIC’s total portfolio to 81 startups. These startups receive seed funding between $5,000 and $25,000 to develop and scale their agribusinesses.
A Nationwide Reach
The startups emerged from 43 teams representing 16 academic institutions across all regions of Ghana, indicating a broad and inclusive national reach.
Comprehensive Support
The structured incubation program includes specialized coaching, mentorship, business model validation, networking, and investor readiness training. This support helps transform innovative ideas into scalable, investable agribusinesses, which can boost agricultural productivity and create employment opportunities for young people.
Capacity Building and Empowerment
Through KIC’s programs, over 58,425 young leaders have been trained in entrepreneurial and business skills, changing mindsets about agriculture and encouraging youth involvement in the sector.
