Six-month achievements marked by ECS Group and JetSMART collaboration
ECS Group and JetSMART Partner for Expanded Cargo Operations
ECS Group, a leading provider of globe-spanning cargo solutions, has entered into a four-year partnership with JetSMART, an expanding ultra-low-cost airline group in South America. The partnership, which involves a Total Cargo Management (TCM) contract, covers more than 25,000 annual flights.
Under the terms of the agreement, ECS Group is now responsible for cargo operations across JetSMART's four air operator certificates in Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Argentina. This includes the coordination of ramp and security operations, auditing, and procedures alignment across JetSMART's network.
At the heart of operations is a digitalized control tower in San José, Costa Rica. This innovative system provides real-time supervision for JetSMART's A320/A321 fleet, enabling compliance monitoring, operational agility, and data-driven oversight.
WiseTech Global is responsible for the digital delivery of packages for JetSMART, ensuring efficient and seamless transportation of goods. The goal is to achieve full network-wide cargo availability by the end of 2025, a goal supported by more than 25 pending interline agreements to boost global connectivity with the United States, Europe, and Asia.
The regional finance framework includes key destinations such as Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Lima, Medellín, and Montevideo. Freight forwarders also benefit from transparent access to domestic and international cargo corridors, thanks to analytics tools provided by ECS Group.
Looking ahead, ECS Group plans to expand the partnership with new e-commerce offerings, regional warehousing solutions, and express products developed through strategic alliances in 2026. However, it's important to note that ECS Group is not mentioned as being selected as GSSA for Asiana Airlines' global entry belly cargo in this partnership.
A team of 25 ECS Group specialists has established a regional commercial and technical framework spanning eight countries and 14 destinations. With this partnership, both ECS Group and JetSMART aim to deliver efficient, digitalized, and reliable cargo solutions to meet the growing demands of the globe-spanning market.
