Senegal Launches Force-N Sénégal to Transform Education with Tech

Senegal's education department is undergoing a digital transformation with the launch of the Force-N Sénégal program. This initiative, led by the Université numérique Cheikh Hamidou Kane (UN-CHK) in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education and backed by the Mastercard Foundation, aims to empower the next generation of learners and make technology a key part of the country's educational system and economic future.

The program kicked off with a large-scale training program to equip teachers and ministry staff with digital technology and artificial intelligence skills. This will help them guide students in the digital age.

The Force-N Sénégal program has ambitious plans to distribute 5,000 computers to students in the S1 and S3 series nationwide. This move aligns with Senegal's long-term development framework, Vision Senegal 2050, and the New Technological Deal, which emphasize digital innovation. The initiative seeks to create a digitally literate generation ready to drive Senegal's economic growth.

While the leadership of the Force-N Sénégal program remains unidentified, the initiative is poised to significantly impact Senegal's education sector. By equipping educators with digital skills and providing students with access to computers, the program is set to strengthen digital education and prepare Senegal's youth for a tech-driven future.
