Russia's Oil and Gas Industry Drives Innovation and Localization
This year, Russia's Government Decree No. 1875 came into effect, favouring Russian products in purchases. Meanwhile, the Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum (TNF) celebrated a decade of success, integrating into Russia's industrial management system and attracting international participants.
The TNF, now a key platform for business-government dialogue, has seen Russia master 160 types of equipment over ten years. With 220 positions needing replacement by 2023, the 'Oil and Gas Cluster' association has been scouting promising technologies at the forum. This year, 157 new domestic solutions were presented, already in use by the industry.
The forum assists small and medium-sized businesses, offering pitch sessions and the 'Territory of Technology' award with a 1.5 million ruble prize fund. It also facilitates direct dialogue between suppliers and industry giants through procurement sessions and 'Technological Days'.
Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov proposed extending 'Russianness' requirements to oil services and service industries. The forum, which has gained international recognition with participants from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and the United Arab Emirates, is set to tackle new challenges and tasks ahead.
Government Decree No. 1875 favours Russian products in purchases, while the Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum continues to drive innovation and dialogue in the oil and gas industry, both domestically and internationally.
