Get ready for a classic car auction like no other, as a stunning 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback restomod is set to go under the hammer at Mecum's Florida Summer Special on July 12. This remarkable vehicle has undergone a meticulous restoration and modernisation by Revology Cars, based in Orlando, Florida.

With a Gulf Racing livery, hand-shaped front wheel flares, and recessed door handles by Kingdig-it Design, this Mustang fastback boasts an exterior that is both authentic and modern. Under the hood, you'll find a 5.0-litre Aluminator XS V8 engine, tuned to produce over 373kW. This powerhouse is paired with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and Wilwood disc brakes for precise handling and stopping power.

The cabin of this restomod offers a balance of period flavour and contemporary refinement. Custom-coloured gauges from Classic Instruments adorn the dashboard, while leather bucket seats and harnesses provide comfort and safety. A Vintage Air HVAC unit ensures a comfortable driving experience, regardless of the weather. For added safety, a fire suppression system has been installed.

The car's suspension is provided by Griggs Racing, ensuring a smooth ride, while its rear end rolls on CCW alloys wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber. A modern Sony sound system with a subwoofer adds an extra touch of luxury to the cabin.

Since its restoration, this 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback restomod has covered 2695 miles (4337 kilometers). With such low mileage, this car is a testament to the quality of the restoration work done by Revology Cars.

Mecum hasn't disclosed a reserve price for this Mustang restomod, according to the listing. However, with its bespoke build, low mileage, and show-stopping spec, it's expected to sell at a high price. No bargains are expected when the hammer falls on July 12.

Whether you're a classic car enthusiast or simply appreciate the craftsmanship and design of these timeless vehicles, this 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback restomod is not to be missed. So, mark your calendars for July 12 and get ready to bid on this extraordinary piece of automotive history.
