Hyte Announces Price Reduction for Select PC Cases

Hyte, a renowned manufacturer of high-quality PC cases, has announced a pricing rollback for several of its products, returning them to pre-tariff price levels or offering significant discounts following recent tariff adjustments between the U.S. and China.

The affected models include the Y40, Y60, Y70, and Y70 Touch Infinite cases. The Y70 Touch Infinite has seen a $40 price cut, now priced at $399, while the Y70, Y60, and Y40 are now available at $219, $179, and $129, respectively.

However, not all Hyte PC cases will receive a price drop. Licensed models, such as the Official Y70 Silver Wolf Case Bundle, are still sold at higher prices due to manufacturing processes. Additionally, the status of other cases, including the Revolt 3 SFF case and the upcoming X50 and X50 Air cases introduced at Computex 2025, remains uncertain regarding the pricing rollback.

The Revolt 3 SFF case is among the cases whose pricing status is currently unknown, and the X50 and X50 Air PC cases have not been explicitly included in this price drop announcement. The X50 is noted as a mechanically complex upcoming product with expected pricing in the $120 to $150 range (pre-tariff), but recent finalized pricing or tariff-related adjustments have not been detailed yet.

Hyte's decision to lower prices comes after the company halted shipments to U.S. customers earlier this year due to import taxes imposed by President Trump's tariffs. The current tariffs on Chinese imports into the U.S. are at a much lower 30%, but Hyte cannot absorb these costs and cannot move its manufacturing operations into the U.S. due to the significant increase in production costs.

As a result, Hyte is considering moving production to Vietnam or Thailand, but this would still increase the price of its products by about 30% to 40%. The company is closely monitoring the situation and will make decisions based on the best interests of its customers and the company as a whole.
