Porsche's Electric Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT Promises 1,000 PS and 500+ km Range
Porsche is set to launch an electric Cayenne Coupe, codenamed Turbo GT, in 2026. This high-performance SUV will be developed in-house by Porsche and its subsidiary Porsche Engineering Group, utilising the 800-volt PPE platform.
The prototype showcases a unique front design with increased cooling, featuring a deeply drawn skirt, vertical intakes, and carbon elements. Under the hood, a battery with over 100 kWh capacity promises rapid charging, from 10 to 80 percent in under 20 minutes at 270 kW. The suspension boasts Active Ride, active air suspension, PASM dampers, all-wheel steering, and torque vectoring, with ceramic brakes likely standard.
The interior is inspired by the Macan Electric, with a curved display, central infotainment screens, and GT-specific details like bucket seats and Alcantara upholstery. The electric Cayenne Coupe is expected to have a WLTP range over 500 kilometers and 400-volt charging capability. Production will take place in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The prototype also reveals a fixed rear wing, large air intakes, and an aggressive aerodynamic package. The model is expected to be priced above the current Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupe, retailing at around 180,000 euros. The Turbo GT will feature two permanently excited synchronous machines for all-wheel drive, with a performance likely around 1,000 PS.
The electric Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT is set to redefine high-performance SUVs when it launches in 2026. With its advanced technology, impressive range, and exhilarating performance, it promises to be a standout addition to Porsche's electric lineup.
