Porsche Boosts AGV Efficiency with MHP FleetExecuter

Porsche has implemented a new system to streamline its automated guided vehicle (AGV) operations. The car manufacturer is now using MHP FleetExecuter, a cloud-based software, to centralise control of its entire AGV fleet, regardless of the vehicle's manufacturer or communication interface.

The software, provided by MHP, manages lifts, gates, and other systems for AGVs moving between the warehouse and the assembly line. This centralised control aims to increase intralogistics efficiency by up to 20%.

Porsche's plant currently houses 27 AGVs, which carry out up to 1,600 material transports daily over a distance of 750 metres. These AGVs navigate through high-speed doors, automatic gates, lifts, and intersecting third-party systems. The MHP FleetExecuter software integrates seamlessly with the plant's existing IT infrastructure, coordinating the AGVs' movements effectively.

With the implementation of MHP FleetExecuter, Porsche expects to enhance its AGV operations' efficiency and productivity. The software's ability to manage diverse AGV systems and increase intralogistics efficiency by up to 20% is set to bring significant benefits to the manufacturer's production processes.
