In line with its commitment to sustainability, Polestar has chosen Kvadrat to supply the bio-attributed MicroTech vinyl and animal welfare-certified wool for the Polestar 3's upholstery. The company also offers customers a choice of sustainable leathers, including traceable, chrome-free, and animal welfare-secured Nappa leather from Bridge of Weir. Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) help debunk myths and compare manufacturers in the materials industry, highlighting the sustainability of these choices.
Bridge of Weir, a leading luxury leather maker, is dedicated to sustainability and welcomes visitors to observe its production process. The company uses locally sourced materials, water from a nearby loch, and energy from a thermal plant, making its leather production eco-friendly. Despite being a by-product of the meat industry, leather is a sustainable material, as it utilizes hides that would otherwise go to waste.
