PM spoke at the IT capital, Bengaluru, highlighting that the city played a key role in Operation Sindoor by offering technological support to the youth.

PM Narendra Modi, during his visit to Bengaluru, praised the city and its youth for their significant contribution to the success of Operation Sindoor. This operation, which resulted in the destruction of terrorist camps in Pakistan, showcased India's technological prowess to the world.

At the IIIT Auditorium in Electronics City, PM Modi highlighted the critical role played by the youth of Bengaluru and Karnataka. Their advanced technology was instrumental in the operation, enabling the Indian Armed Forces to penetrate deep into Pakistan's territory and bring the enemy to its knees within hours.

The Prime Minister also recognised the importance of the Make in India defence initiative, with Bengaluru-based production of systems like SkyStriker drones, Akash missiles, and satellite technologies playing a pivotal role in the military's capabilities during the operation. This success served as a platform to demonstrate India's strength in indigenous technology and defence manufacturing to the global community.

In his speech, PM Modi emphasised the need for cities like Bengaluru to compete globally and lead on the world stage. He stressed the importance of efficiency and speed for global competitiveness. To this end, he inaugurated the Yellow line of the metro in Bengaluru, symbolising the city's modernisation and commitment to progress.

The Prime Minister also congratulated the youth of Bengaluru and Karnataka for their role in Operation Sindoor. He stated that the whole world has witnessed a new face of India due to this operation, positioning Bengaluru as a symbol of New India.

With this operation, not only did Bengaluru cement its position as a global city, but it also demonstrated that it is a hub of technological innovation and a key player in India's defence manufacturing sector.
