OnePlus Introduces 2-in-1 SuperVOOC Charging Cable for Simplified Charging
OnePlus has launched a new charging solution that aims to declutter your charging station and reduce travel hassle. The 2-in-1 SuperVOOC charging cable is designed to charge both OnePlus phones and OnePlus smartwatches simultaneously, thanks to its smart power delivery system.
This innovative cable, priced around $29.99 to $30, can deliver up to 80W of power to a single device like a phone or laptop. When charging a OnePlus phone and a compatible OnePlus smartwatch together, it delivers up to 67W to the phone and 10W to the smartwatch simultaneously.
The cable measures 1.2 meters long and features a USB-A connector on one end to connect to a charger. On the other end, it splits into a USB-C plug for the phone and a magnetic POGO pin connector for the smartwatch. This design allows for the elimination of the extra watch cable, promoting a more compact charging setup.
The cable supports fast charging for OnePlus phones, such as the OnePlus 13, at near peak speeds even while powering the watch. It is compatible with recent OnePlus watch models, including the OnePlus Watch 2, Watch 2R, and Watch 3 (including the 43mm variant). The magnetic POGO pin connection allows seamless and convenient charging for the watch without a separate cable or dock.
The cable incorporates an "E-marker smart chip" to safeguard devices from power spikes. Notebookcheck reported on the new cable, which offers a more space-efficient solution for travel compared to wireless pads or multi-port chargers.
