NRA Figures Share Preferred Concealed Carry Methods and Gear

Several prominent figures in the National Rifle Association (NRA) have shared their preferred methods and equipment for concealed carry. Their choices range from compact pistols to revolvers, each tailored to their personal preferences and situations.

Grace, a 35-year-old NRA instructor, favours an appendix carry with a SIG Sauer P365XL, equipped with a Holosun red-dot optic and a Streamlight TLR-7 Sub flashlight. She carries these in a 'We the People' kydex-style, inside-the-waistband holster, along with a spare magazine, bleed gauze, a tourniquet, and a flashlight in a waist pack. This setup allows for quick retrieval and higher odds of success in close-range self-defense situations.

Julie, another NRA instructor, also carries a SIG Sauer P365 (9 mm) but in a Travelon waist pack with a kydex holster attached via hook-and-loop patches. She includes a spare magazine, POM pepper spray, and a Buck Trace Ops knife secured via the Magpul Tejas Gun Belt 2.0. Meanwhile, Mel, the 48-year-old Managing Editor of NRA's American Rifleman, carries a Ruger LCR .327 Fed. Mag. revolver in a purse or bag, using a dedicated carry compartment with a hook-and-loop holster for easy switching between bags.

Jay, the 53-year-old Executive Editor of NRA's Shooting Illustrated magazine, carries a Lone Wolf Dusk 19 (9 mm) with a Trijicon RMR HD red-dot optic in a KSG Armory Lexington kydex in-the-waistband holster at the 1 o'clock position. Lastly, Roger, a 68-year-old retired software engineer and NRA instructor, carries a Glock 43 in either a Crossbreed in-the-waistband holster or a DeSantis SuperFly pocket holster, depending on his preference for the day. He often uses 5.11 Pro Ripstop pants with a DeSantis pocket holster for convenience.

These NRA figures demonstrate a variety of carry methods and firearms, each suited to their individual needs and preferences. Their choices highlight the importance of personal choice and preparedness in concealed carry.
