Norton Boosts Small Business Security With Dark Web and Social Media Monitoring

Norton has fortified its small business protection with new features to counter a surge in cyber threats. The company has introduced Dark Web Monitoring and Social Media Monitoring, joining ManageEngine in beefing up security options for small enterprises.

Small businesses are facing mounting pressure to safeguard their data and that of their customers. A 21% quarter-over-quarter rise in business-targeted data breaches and a 68% increase in attacks on small enterprises in 2025 highlight this concern. Norton's response includes Dark Web Monitoring, which scans for eight business-specific elements like Company Name, Tax ID, and VAT numbers, and Social Media Monitoring, alerting businesses to potential account takeovers, scam links, or suspicious activity on connected Facebook and Instagram accounts.

These features are part of Norton Small Business' comprehensive protection across data, finances, and online presence. Dark Web Monitoring is available globally in the Small Business Standard and Premium plans, while Social Media Monitoring is offered in the Premium package in the US and UK. Norton joins ManageEngine in broadening small business options, adding risk management and multi-factor authentication to protect against rising digital threats like data loss, account takeovers, and fraud.

Cyber incidents can significantly impact small businesses, damaging reputations and depleting financial reserves. Norton's expanded small business protection options, including Dark Web and Social Media Monitoring, aim to bolster security and help enterprises navigate the escalating digital threat landscape.
