Chinese Debut of OnePlus Ace 5 Racing and Ace 5 Extreme Edition
While the global anticipation for the OnePlus 13s continues to build, the tech giant has quietly launched two new devices in China - the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing and the OnePlus Ace 5 Extreme Edition. Both smartphones boast the latest chipsets, large batteries, and vibrant AMOLED displays.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing is the more affordable option, priced at 1,799 yuan (approx. 20,100 rubles) for the base configuration (12/256GB) and 2,499 yuan (approx. 27,900 rubles) for the top-end (16/512GB). The device sports a 6.77-inch display with a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. It is protected by Crystal Shield Glass.
The primary camera consists of a 50MP OIS unit accompanied by a 2MP monochrome sensor. The front camera is a 16MP shooter. The battery packs a capacity of 7,100 mAh and supports 80W fast charging. Powering the device is the Mediatek Dimensity 9400E chip. Additional features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a slew of sensors. Out of the box, it runs on Android 15 (ColorOS 15), with a promise of 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Extreme Edition is the premium option, starting at 2,499 yuan (approx. 27,900 rubles) for the 12/256GB version and going up to 3,799 yuan (approx. 42,400 rubles) for the 16GB/1TB model. The smartphone features a 6.83-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1272, a 60-144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. It is fueled by the more powerful Mediatek Dimensity 9400+ processor. The battery has a capacity of 6,700 mAh and supports 100W fast charging. The primary camera consists of a 50MP OIS (IMX 906) unit accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The front camera is a 16MP snapper. Both models are currently available for purchase in China, with no information yet on their availability in the global market.
