NBCUniversal Stays on YouTube TV in New Multi-Year Deal
In a positive turn for viewers, multiple NBCUniversal channels will remain on YouTube TV. This includes popular networks such as NBC, Telemundo, Bravo, and USA. This agreement follows previous carriage disputes and ensures continued access to a wide range of content.
This new multi-year deal between Google and NBCUniversal retains access to Peacock, Universal Pictures media, and NBCUniversal channels across YouTube TV, YouTube, and Google TV. Notably, a new NBC Sports Network channel will launch on YouTube TV as part of the agreement.
The Peacock streaming service will also continue to be available on Google Play and Google TV. In the coming months, Peacock will be available as an add-on via YouTube Primetime channels. This deal comes after NBCUniversal threatened to pull its channels from YouTube TV, highlighting the significance of this agreement.
YouTube TV, the top live TV streaming service, will continue to offer NBCUniversal channels and content, including media from Universal Pictures. The duration of the new long-term contract is not specified, but it ensures that viewers can enjoy a broad range of entertainment options.
