NBA Top Shot Launches Starter Packs at $19 Each
NBA Top Shot, the popular NFT platform, has launched its Starter Packs at $19 each. Each pack contains four Moments, including a chance at a Rare or Legendary Moment.
NBA Top Shot recreates the experience of basketball trading cards on the blockchain. It offers digital videos of major highlights from NBA history, known as Moments. These Moments are sold in 'Packs', which are part of Sets and Series corresponding to the current NBA season.
Packs come in three tiers of rarity: Common, Rare, and Legendary. The rarity of a Moment depends on the Pack or Set it came from. Non-Base Sets can contain Packs with Rare or Legendary Moments. Additionally, collectors can participate in Challenges and Quests to win rare packs and Moments.
Trade Tickets offer utility without selling Moments, allowing collectors to trade for any Moment and secure most pack drops.
NBA Top Shot, a collaboration between the NBA, NBPA, and Dapper Labs, has seen significant success. With an all-time sales volume of over $880 million, it is one of the most important NFT collections in the industry's short history. The platform continues to innovate, offering new packs and events for collectors.
