MTTE Introduces Electronic Cooling Devices for Nationwide Dispensation in the Year 2025
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Transport Europe GmbH (MTTE) is making a significant mark at the NUFAM exhibition in Karlsruhe, showcasing its expanded portfolio of full-electric refrigeration units for vehicles.
At the outdoor area of NUFAM, visitors can see a variety of MTTE's electric-powered refrigeration units in action. This includes a MAN box truck equipped with a TU diesel underfloor unit, a MAN tractor showcasing the new full-electric TEU machine, and a van displaying the TEK electric unit. Furthermore, the diesel version TU of the well-known underfloor series is also on display.
MTTE's electrification strategy is a response to the growing demand for emission-free solutions in refrigerated transport. The company aims to enable locally emission-free refrigerated transport, especially in urban and regional distribution, as part of its goal to support a carbon-neutral and environmentally sustainable logistics approach.
The TEK Series Electric-Driven Transport Refrigeration Units are a key part of MTTE's electrification efforts. These units utilize electric drive technology to eliminate emissions during transport refrigeration, significantly lowering the carbon footprint of transport refrigeration. The development fits into Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' broader commitment to carbon neutrality, integrating advanced refrigeration and heat pump technologies that use natural refrigerants with low global warming potential (GWP), such as CO₂ and refrigerants with GWP of 1.
MTTE's focus on electrification extends across all equipment classes, from vans to trailers. In addition to the TEK Series, the company is also presenting the full range of Preciso full-electric refrigeration units at the exhibition.
Björn Reckhorn, MTTE Managing Director, stated that the company meets the demand for economical and environmentally friendly solutions for transport refrigeration. MTTE actively supports its customers in the gradual decarbonization of their refrigerated vehicle fleets.
The exhibition at NUFAM 2023 also covers topics such as load securing, seaports, contract logistics (including e-fulfilment), and a special exhibition on hydrogen drives.
Hall 2, Stand D 206 is the location for MTTE's exhibition at NUFAM 2023. The full-electric trailer refrigeration unit TEF 1500 is making its debut at the show, further demonstrating MTTE's commitment to emission-free transport solutions.
MTTE's efforts are part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' expansive portfolio of innovative and sustainable products aimed at achieving decarbonization across various sectors, illustrating their leadership in environmentally friendly transport infrastructure solutions.
Visitors at the NUFAM exhibition can witness MTTE's electrified refrigeration units, such as the TEK Series and Preciso, which utilize advanced electric drive technology to minimize emissions in transport refrigeration. Additionally, the full-electric trailer refrigeration unit TEF 1500 will make its debut at the event, showcasing MTTE's commitment to promoting emission-free solutions in the transport sector.
