Morocco Streamlines Africa Cup of Nations 2025 Entry with Electronic Visa System

Morocco is preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, scheduled from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. The country is streamlining entry procedures with the integration of an electronic visa system into the official 'Yalla' app, affecting all 24 participating countries and their fans, as well as visitors from visa-required nations.

The 'Yalla' application, launching on September 25, 2025, will offer a special CAN 2025 e-Visa for international fans needing a visa to travel to Morocco. This initiative builds on Morocco's 2022 electronic visa system, simplifying entry procedures for the tournament. Fans can secure tickets through a pre-sale reserved for Visa cardholders starting September 25, with general sales commencing on September 27.

Morocco is adopting the Fan-ID model for the event, using the 'Yalla' application as the central hub for ticket sales, fan registration, and electronic visa applications. A Fan-ID, the digital passport of the fan, will be mandatory for stadium and fan zone access. Royal Air Maroc is set to add over 660 additional flights during the tournament, boosting capacity by over 50% to facilitate international fan travel. RAM aims to transport around 500,000 fans and offer integrated packages, combining flights, accommodation, and entry for the tournament.

The integration of the electronic visa system into the 'Yalla' app promises a seamless experience for fans and visitors attending the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 in Morocco. With increased flight capacity and centralised ticketing and registration, the tournament is poised to welcome a significant number of international fans.
