MoneyGram & Plaid Expand Easy International Money Transfers to Europe

MoneyGram, a global leader in cross-border payments, has teamed up with Plaid, a leading open banking provider, to simplify international money transfers in Europe. The partnership, which became available on October 2, 2025, aims to make sending money across borders as easy, reliable, and accessible as possible for European customers.

The collaboration builds on the success of MoneyGram and Plaid's U.S. partnership and expands their pay-by-bank service to Europe. Through this integration, MoneyGram customers in Europe can now securely connect and authenticate their bank accounts using Plaid's advanced open banking technology for international payments.

Plaid's robust security measures, combined with MoneyGram's stringent compliance program, ensure that customer information remains safe and confidential throughout each transaction. The expansion aligns with the growing demand for faster, more friction-free money movement in Europe, driven by the region's open banking innovation.

With this partnership, MoneyGram continues to support its vision of a borderless financial world, reinforcing its commitment to security and customer protection. By offering Plaid's Pay by Bank feature, MoneyGram provides increasingly in-demand experiences for its customers, who can now enjoy seamless international payments across its extensive global network spanning over 200 countries and territories, approximately 500,000 retail locations, and over five billion digital touchpoints.
