Miva Merchant Celebrates 27 Years, Eyes Growth With New Investor
Miva Merchant, a leading e-commerce platform, was first launched in 1995. Initially named Miva, it was purchased by Findwhat.com in 2004 and later rebranded. Today, around 40,000 businesses actively use the platform, benefiting from its flexibility, scalability, and proven track record.
Miva Merchant offers a year of unlimited technical support with a direct license purchase from the company, priced at $995. Additionally, customers obtaining the software from a hosting company receive 30 days of free support. In 2007, the Miva Merchant shopping cart division was sold to private investors.
The company is headquartered in San Diego with 22 employees, expecting significant growth in 2022. Rick Wilson, a former Miva Merchant executive, has rejoined the company as an investor. Despite extensive searches, the current CEO's identity remains unclear.
Miva Merchant, with its extensive user base and robust features, continues to be a popular choice for businesses of all sizes. With a new investor and expected growth, the company looks set to maintain its strong presence in the e-commerce market.
