Militarized Enhancements Accompany Cybertruck as it Prepares for Combat
Rolled Up, Armed, and Ready:
The badass Cybertrucks, donning extra armor and sporting machine guns, have dropped in the scene.
Chechnya's ruthless dictator, Ramzan Kadyrov, and Putin's pal, has extended a hands-off invitation to Elon Musk to pay a visit to Grozny. Kadyrov, known for his dubious Telegram posts, shared his enthusiasm for the all-steel beast, alongside a video of him cruising through Chechen city streets.
Kadyrov couldn't contain his delight as he maneuvered the Cybertruck, dubbing it "The Cyberbeast" in a Telegram post. The bed of the truck was open, and it seemed someone had installed a Russian PK machine gun - a cheeky after-market mod.
Kadyrov affectionately referred to Elon Musk as the "strongest genius of our time...a great man," praising the tech revolutionary for his marvelous creation. Grinning like a schoolboy, Kadyrov draped in a bullet belt, stood atop the machine gun, a move reminiscent of a scene from Mad Max.
The post ended with an invitation, hinting at Russia's support for Kadyrov's military operation in Ukraine. "I don't think the Russian Foreign Ministry would mind such a trip," Kadyrov asserted.
Critics argue Musk's profits stem from the war since SpaceX is a significant military contractor. The Starlink terminals are indispensable to the war, with over 42,000 terminals in use by Kyiv and allegedly by Russian forces as well.
The origin of Cybertruck in Kadyrov's possession remains a mystery, though he implied Musk gifted it to him. The modifications, including the PK machine gun, likely come courtesy of after-market modifications.
This militaristic twist to Cybertrucks is catching on with cops across the States, who are in a friendly race to see who will get one first. But beefing up the Cybertruck for military use requires careful modifications to enhance its durability. Bulletproof claims are debatable.
Archimedes Defense, a company specializing in defense applications, is jumping on the bandwagon to offer Cybertrucks with extensive modifications under the STING moniker. The service, currently in development, promises to upgrade the Cybertruck with leading EV modification and propulsion technologies.
Unfortunately, specific information about the STING variant or customization services is scarce, though Archimedes Defense showcased an armored version of the Cybertruck, named UP Invincible Cybertruck, at IDEX 2025 defense exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
For now, high-security encased Cybertrucks are more of a tease than a reality. Archimedes Defense promises to reveal more about the STING variant on their website soon. They plan to cater to government and defense, police, VIPs, and civilians alike. The unarmored STING Baja variant could serve as a mobile generator and charging station for remote areas, mainly for civilian and government customers.
Update 8/19/24 at 2:00 p.m.: This story was updated to reflect details from Archimedes Defense.
