Mumbai joins the digital revolution with the rollout of the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC). Collaborating with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and State Bank of India (SBI), the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (MMRC) has launched this innovative solution on the much-anticipated Mumbai Metro Line 3. The grand unveiling by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar marked a significant stride in transforming the city's transport infrastructure.

The NCMC initiative empowers commuters to enjoy a hassle-free trip between Aarey JVLR and Acharya Atre Chowk stations. These contactless cards eliminates tedious queues at ticket counters, offering users a swift, secure, and cashless commuting experience. As Mumbai's first fully underground metro corridor, Line 3 is engineered to uphold future-ready ideas. Integrating a seamless contactless payment solution is pivotal to realizing that vision.

Nationwide Recognition for Mumbai Metro Line 3

The NCMC card expansion on Mumbai Metro Line 3 is just the beginning. Mumbaikars can effortlessly swipe their NCMC cards across Metro Line 3, 2A, 7, and Line 1, ensuring a unified and effortless journey. The card's versatility doesn't stop there. NCMC cards issued by other Metro lines and transport operators such as Chalo Bus can be used harmoniously at any Metro Line 3 station.

To participate in this innovative payment paradigm, existing users can continue to use their cards, while new users can secure their NCMC Card at stations along Line 3 and partnered SBI branches. The cards are available for free, requiring a minimum top-up of Rs 100 and capping at Rs 2000 for travel purposes.
