Metinteractive's Bridge Established

In Middletown, Connecticut, The Connection, a renowned organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families, has recently unveiled its renovated hybrid training space. The project, funded by a grant, aims to facilitate in-person, remote, and hybrid presentations and training through the integration of advanced audiovisual and collaboration technologies.

At the heart of this transformation are Q-SYS equipment and Mersive Solstice systems. Q-SYS, known for its comprehensive control and audio-visual management capabilities, ensures seamless integration of various meeting room devices, providing high-quality sound and easy control for presentations. The Mersive Solstice system, on the other hand, supports wireless content sharing from multiple devices, fostering real-time collaboration among participants, both in-person and remote.

Each of the three divisible rooms is equipped with a flat panel permanently mounted for display, ceiling-mounted microphone arrays for clear audio, and presentation sources including an OFE PC, HDMI connection, and wireless presentation system. Wall-mounted Q-SYS sound bars are under the displays for program audio playback, while Sonance ceiling-mounted speakers reinforce program audio and far-end audio.

To enhance the user experience, an additional camera in the end room captures a view of the presenter when the room is in combined mode, and Q-SYS video cameras at the front and rear of the rooms capture instructor presentations. The rooms also feature a wall-mounted touch panel for easy control.

The project was managed and engineered by Metinteractive, who brought not only technical expertise but also a deep understanding of The Connection's values. The team worked alongside The Connection's staff with care and precision, resulting in a space that truly supports their work.

Common software used in the rooms includes PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Zoom. The technology in the rooms also includes advanced noise reduction and presenter framing features. The rooms are in frequent use, with new hire orientations scheduled every two weeks.

The Connection's CEO, Lisa DeMatteis-Lepore, stated, "This project reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence. We are thrilled to have a training space that supports our work in training, collaborating, and growing, ultimately improving outcomes for the individuals and families we support."

The renovation has equipped The Connection’s training space with the technical infrastructure needed for modern hybrid communication workflows, promoting collaboration and efficient knowledge sharing no matter the location of participants. The new tools will undoubtedly enhance The Connection's ability to continue its vital work.

  1. The integration of Q-SYS and Mersive Solstice systems in The Connection's renovated training space not only features advanced audiovisual and collaboration technologies, but also data-and-cloud- computing tools, such as PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Zoom, thereby enabling efficient hybrid presentations and training sessions.
  2. In addition to fostering improved outcomes for the individuals and families service by The Connection, this renovation's technology – including features like advanced noise reduction and presenter framing – also supports modern finance processes by promoting financial inclusivity, as employees now have access to effective remote and hybrid collaboration tools.
