Mercedes-Benz Unveils Electric CLA Shooting Brake for 2026
Mercedes-Benz has revealed the fully electric CLA Shooting Brake, set to hit European roads in March 2026. This new addition to the EQ range promises impressive range and charging speeds, but its availability in India remains uncertain.
The electric CLA Shooting Brake will launch in two variants: the CLA 250+ and the CLA 350 4Matic. Both share an 85 kWh battery pack and an 800V electrical architecture, enabling rapid charging. The CLA 250+ can recharge up to 310 km in just 10 minutes, while the CLA 350 4Matic can add up to 300 km in the same time. Their WLTP-certified ranges stand at 761 km and 730 km respectively.
The CLA 350 4Matic offers a slight edge in acceleration, reaching 100 kmph in 5 seconds compared to the CLA 250+'s 6.8 seconds. Despite their performance, both variants boast impressive practicality. They can tow up to 1,800 kg and support up to 75 kg on their roof rails. With the rear seats folded, the electric CLA Shooting Brake offers up to 1,290 litres of luggage space, along with an additional 101-litre front trunk.
The electric CLA Shooting Brake's European launch in March 2026 brings a compelling blend of range, performance, and practicality to the market. While European customers eagerly await its arrival, Indian customers await confirmation on its potential launch in the region.
