Meprolight's M22 Pro Offers Day-Night Versatility in Reflex Sight
Meprolight, an Israeli company founded by Meir Hayoun in 1990, has introduced the M22 Pro reflex sight. This optic combines fiber-optic illumination for daytime use and tritium vials for nighttime clarity, offering versatility for tactical shotguns and AR-platform rifles.
The M22 Pro sight operates using a single CR2032 battery for optional reticle illumination, but it functions perfectly without the battery. It's robust, with a water-resistant design (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes) and a Picatinny rail quick release mount for easy attachment. The optic features a generous sight picture and solid controls, making it suitable for various firearms.
The M22 Pro sight reticles come in red or amber, with options for a triangle or a 3.5/40 MOA bullseye and ring. It has a height-over-bore of 1.5 inches, with elevation and windage controls operating at 1 MOA per click and a total adjustment of +/- 60 MOA. The MSRP is $579.99, including a sight adjustment tool and a field cover.
In testing, the M22 Pro sight demonstrated accurate shots on a Mossberg 590 RM shotgun and a Bear Creek Arsenal AR-15 rifle, across different distances and lighting conditions. The first shot on the shotgun, though high, was still a threat stopper.
The Meprolight M22 Pro reflex sight offers a balance of durability, versatility, and affordability. Its performance in various conditions and on different firearms makes it a reliable choice for tactical shooters and enthusiasts alike.
