Major Highlights Unveiled at Adobe MAX London Event

At Adobe MAX London 2025, Adobe announced a series of significant updates to its Creative Cloud tools, focusing on enhanced performance, new AI capabilities, and expanded creative controls. The updates aim to provide creators with more powerful, efficient, and connected workflows.

The flagship offering, Creative Cloud Pro (formerly Creative Cloud All Apps), now offers hundreds of performance upgrades and time-saving features. Illustrator's most-used effects are now 5x faster, while Photoshop's selection tools have been improved for more precise editing of intricate details like hair and clothing. Premiere Pro benefits from Media Intelligence enhancements that speed up the analysis and retrieval of video content, and Adobe Express received updates focused on ease and speed for social media clip creation.

Creative Cloud Pro also includes extras like over 30,000 fonts, unlimited Creative Cloud libraries, 100GB of cloud storage, and millions of royalty-free stock assets to aid creative projects.

Photoshop now offers faster, more precise selection tools, and integration with Firefly AI models allows users to edit and generate images with generative AI technology directly within Photoshop, including seamless updates reflected across Creative Cloud apps.

Adobe's Firefly generative AI, which merges AI-powered image, video, audio, and vector generation tools, was relaunched with new features during the event. A significant highlight is the introduction and public release of Firefly Boards, a digital mood board tool that allows users to arrange uploads, generate video from sample assets, and maintain continuity through Creative Cloud syncing. Changes made to images in Photoshop now automatically update in Firefly Boards.

Firefly expanded its AI model ecosystem to include third-party providers such as Runway, Luma, Pika, and Ideogram, alongside Adobe’s own models and partners like Imagen 3, Veo 2, and ChatGPT image generation. Importantly, these models do not use data from Adobe users for AI training, which enhances privacy and user trust.

Other Creative Cloud apps also received updates. InDesign now has Firefly-powered image generation and Generative Fill (beta) for transforming vector graphics into artwork from simple text prompts. Video editors using Premiere Pro now have general access to Generative Extend and Media Intelligence.

Adobe has announced two new Firefly AI Models - Firefly Image Model 4 and Firefly Image Model 4 Ultra. The plain Firefly Image Model 4 is supposed to be better for everyday creative tasks, while the Ultra version is better for more detailed and realistic projects.

In addition to these updates, Adobe has introduced the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship, offering mentorship, networking, and real-world experience for young creatives. There's a new tool within the Firefly webapp called Firefly Boards (previously Project Concept), designed for non-linear moodboarding and ideation. Firefly Boards supports collaborative working and offers a great deal of control, with options to remix images on the fly and combine aspects from different images to create new ones.

These updates demonstrate Adobe's commitment to integrating generative AI and improving usability and performance across its professional creative tools, providing creators with more powerful, efficient, and connected workflows at Adobe MAX London 2025.
