Macquarie Data Centres Completes Major Upgrades in Sydney and Canberra

Macquarie Data Centres has finalised major upgrades to its data centre campuses in Sydney and Canberra. The enhancements are now ready for occupancy and offer expanded capacity to cater to both local and international businesses looking to scale their operations.

The upgrades have significantly increased rack capacity and expanded secure zones within the campuses. These new zones adhere to the stringent requirements of the highest levels of the Australian Federal Government's Protective Security Policy Framework. Notably, two additional ultra-secure zones have been added to both the Sydney and Canberra campuses.

Macquarie's data centres serve a diverse range of clients, including 42% of the Commonwealth Government, major hyperscalers, and large multinational corporations. The successful execution of these upgrades is a testament to Macquarie's team, who demonstrated considerable planning, expertise, and collaboration throughout the project. It is worth mentioning that these upgrades in the Sydney North zone preceded the construction of Macquarie's largest data centre, IC3 Super West.

With the completion of these upgrades, Macquarie Data Centres' campuses in Sydney and Canberra now offer enhanced capacity and security, further cementing the company's position as a leading provider for local and international customers seeking to scale their businesses.
