Large sum of €20 million earmarked for Emerald's water conservation initiative
In a strategic move that aligns with both parties' commitment to advancing water solutions, Veralto, a leading global player in water analytics and treatment, has invested €20 million in Emerald Technology Ventures' Global Water Fund II.
Based in Zurich with offices in Toronto and Singapore, Emerald Technology Ventures is a fund manager and investment platform specializing in sustainable industrial innovation. The Global Water Fund II, launching in October, is valued between €150-180 million.
As a Cornerstone Investor in the fund, Veralto gains access to early- and growth-stage water technology businesses. Through this partnership, Veralto offers its global market expertise to support Emerald's portfolio companies' scaling.
Emerald Technology Ventures leads investments and portfolio support for water tech companies such as SG Enviro, an industrial wastewater engineering firm in Southeast Asia. The fund aims to accelerate water innovation solutions globally, including treatment, monitoring, and addressing emerging contaminants.
Jennifer L. Honeycutt, the President and Chief Executive Officer at Veralto, expressed that the partnership strengthens Veralto's innovation and technology development efforts. Dr. Helge Daebel, a Partner and Head of Emerald's Water Practice, echoed this sentiment, stating that the investment provides Emerald's portfolio companies with customer insights, global reach, and scaling success.
Veralto joins more than 50 large corporations as investors and partners in Emerald's open innovation efforts. This partnership is a testament to Emerald Technology Ventures' continued expansion of its network of investors and partners in the water sector.
With Veralto's purpose being to address critical water challenges worldwide, this strategic move is expected to bring about significant advancements in water technology innovation.
