Land Rover Unveils 2017 Discovery With Remote-Controlled Intelligent Seats
Land Rover has revealed its 2017 Discovery, showcasing innovative intelligent seats that can be controlled remotely via a smartphone app. The new model will be manufactured at Jaguar Land Rover's cutting-edge plant in Slovakia, which boasts an annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles.
The intelligent seats in the 2017 Discovery allow users to adjust position, recline, and fold remotely, using an app on their phone. Bear Grylls, the renowned adventurer, demonstrated this feature in a dramatic fashion, controlling the seats mid-air during a skydive. The new Discovery completes Land Rover's updated model range, joining the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery Sport, and Range Rover Evoque. Additionally, the new Land Rover Defender will also roll off the production line in Slovakia, sharing the facility with the Discovery.
The 2017 Land Rover Discovery, with its innovative intelligent seats, will be produced at the new plant in Slovakia from 2018. This plant has a significant capacity, capable of producing 300,000 vehicles annually, and will also house the production of the new Land Rover Defender.
