Isabella Products Introduces the Fable Tablet: A Child-Friendly Wireless Device

Isabella Products has entered the children's tablet market with the introduction of the Fable tablet. This wireless device, designed specifically for kids, offers a range of features that make it an appealing choice for parents.

One of the standout features of the Fable tablet is its pre-loaded drawing app, which allows children to take pictures using the tablet's 4 megapixel camera and then colour them in. Four publishing houses, including Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, have lined up to provide content for the Fable tablet, ensuring a wealth of age-appropriate material for children to explore.

The Fable tablet runs on a custom-made Android platform and features a 7-inch touchscreen surface, optimized for smaller hands. It also boasts a ruggedized design, built to withstand the rough handling that is common among its target audience.

The Fable tablet's content management system, VizitMe.com, has built-in parental controls to ensure appropriate content for children. It also automatically creates a backup of all content in the cloud, providing peace of mind for parents.

The Fable tablet's navigation interface is a 'carousel' design, patented by Isabella Products, and specifically tailored for the tablet. The device also includes a mobile broadband connection for a monthly fee, allowing children to access the internet safely.

Parents will also appreciate the control they have over their children's communication. While children can share what they draw via e-mail, parents have the final say in who their children communicate with.

The Fable tablet is expected to retail for around $149 to $179 when it reaches markets. It was developed in collaboration with Boston publishing house Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and e-books from the company will cost between 99 cents and $3.99.
