KCN Vietnam Breaks Ground on $60M Haiphong Factory, Boosting FDI in Vietnam
Vietnam's appeal as a foreign direct investment (FDI) destination continues to grow, with registered FDI capital reaching $26.14 billion by August 31, a 27.3% increase from the previous year. Meanwhile, KCN Vietnam, a leading industrial developer, has broken ground on a new venture in Haiphong, marking a significant step in its expansion plans.
KCN Vietnam, established in 2021, has been making waves with its portfolio of high-quality, ready-built warehouse and factory projects across Southern and Northern Vietnam, totalling over 300 hectares. Now, the company is introducing a two-story factory model and flexible factory sizes to cater to the needs of both small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and multinational manufacturers.
On October 1, KCN Vietnam JSC began construction on the KCN An Phat venture in Haiphong. Spread over 8.9 hectares, this development will offer more than 60,000 square metres of leasable space, including state-of-the-art factories and warehouses. The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026.
KCN Vietnam is committed to supporting Haiphong's industrial ambitions, particularly in sectors like electronics assembly, semiconductors, and precision engineering. The company aims to attract next-generation overseas funding and contribute to Haiphong's sustainable industrial growth. Hardy Diec, COO of KCN Vietnam, sees KCN An Phat as a key milestone in the company's development journey, reflecting its long-term strategy to enhance Vietnam's role in the global supply chain.
With Vietnam's FDI appeal on the rise and KCN Vietnam's expansion into Haiphong, the stage is set for further growth and investment. The KCN An Phat venture, with its flexible factory sizes and high-quality facilities, is poised to attract both SMEs and multinational manufacturers, contributing to Haiphong's industrial ambitions and Vietnam's role in the global supply chain.
