This means that devices can connect directly and relay messages without any internet or cellular network. Messages are typically deleted after delivery, unless stored temporarily on devices (up to around 12 hours) to support delivery when recipients are offline and rejoin the network later.

The app is especially useful in scenarios where traditional networks are unavailable or congested, such as remote areas, disaster zones, large public events, or situations with internet censorship. Users must have Bluetooth enabled and the app installed to participate in the network, and communication only occurs between devices with the app. This infrastructure frees users from dependence on cellular towers, Wi-Fi, or centralized servers, providing resilient and private messaging purely through proximity-based device collaboration.
